Instant messaging over a network

I need a program or a way to message over a network. The old machines using win95 cant message them on 2000 the new ones have winchat and the old95 have winpopup also the 2000 machines have policies on them that wont let new software be installed. Can anyone help ?

Use net send from the command prompt. Its basic but will get the job done:)

c:\> Net send Comp Name Your message here
