The Asylum/Oldskool thread

This Asylum Dublin group and our Asylum pages have been built to showcase the massive array of classic dance tunes that made Asylum what it was, and also as a medium to promote a healthy future for clubbing in dublin.

For those who stick buy us and support our vision for the future, we thank you. For those that don't, we can only hope that in time you will see exactly what we are doing as the pieces of our jigsaw slowly slot together. We do not expect to please everyone all of the time and agree that all publicity, whether positive or negative is good. However, as with Facebook pages in general, the meaning of social networking is to make and develop friendships and build a community of like minded individuals. We do take the harmony of our community very seriously and for that reason if we feel that any individual is continuously harbouring ill feeling toward us or relentless negativity we shall regrettably have no option other than to ‘unfriend’ and block them from our pages. This has already happened on two occasions so far.

The main organiser of the current Asylum actually named the original Asylum ‘back in the day’ and was part of the original promotion and management team. We have the complete and utter backing for our current direction from the remaining original members of the Sackville Place management.
We are however saddened when any individual (who may or may not have been a member of the club back in the day) takes it upon themselves to spread hatred towards us and feels that it’s their right to tell us how to future organise our events or which DJs to book. We welcome all feedback whether positive or negative, but those who make negativity a continuous thing will regrettably be removed.

We really hope you guys understand where we are coming from and in time everyone will see the big picture.

As a little teaser to our October gig we can confirm that we have already confirmed a huge line up of acts spread out over two nights...

Including German trance & techno legend Oliver Lieb!

And a host of other huge headline acts.

The line up will also feature ALL the Asylum original DJs and many other new and classic DJs and acts.

The line up which is already in place will be one of the biggest line ups witnessed in a long time for a venue and club night of our size in Dublin.

Please keep the faith and trust us in what we are doing, Asylum fans old and new are the strength of this legacy , without all of you its nothing!

We hope to see you all again on Sat 3rd Sept for what is shaping up to be a whopper night featuring Jeremy Healy / Liam Dollard and a host of amazing Asylum talent.
