    Offaly SFC

Theres 3 matches i have picked out

    Walsh Island 0-10 Clara 1-7 - DRAW

    Walsh Island (10/3) V Clara (1/4)

The Island are massively overpriced. Clara are sturggling this year having only won one championship match so far. They have lost 3 of there young players to travelling and this was seen last week when they were beaten by an average Ballycumber side. Walsh Island are an up and coming team having won the intermediate 2 years ago. Since then they have been well able to compete with the top teams in the Senior. Altough they are missing Brian Connor due to travels aswell they have a very committed team with talented forwards. 10/3 is very overpriced imo and i can see this shortening come saturday. If Walsh Island get a run at Clara i can see clara collapsing like they did against Gracefield.

    St Rynaghs 3-7 Shamrocks 0-9 - WIN

    St Rynaghs (5/4) V Shamrocks (8/11)

I would of had St Rynaghs as favourites. Shamrocks are in dire straits this year. The club in general is gone to the dogs losing players to Emigration, Transfers, Loss of Interest and to other sports. Hard to belive they were on of the top teams a few years ago. Rynaghs won intermediate last year and are going well this year having won one and and losing to Gracefield by a point who are unbeaten so far. Shamrocks should be favourites for relegation from senior. Close game but Rynaghs should be expected to do the job

    Edenderry 1-9 Tullamore 1-8 - WIN

    Edenderry (4/5) V Tullamore (6/5)

Since the last round of the championship Tullamor have lost 7 of there starting team. One of these is offaly hurler Shane Dooley who is by far there biggst loss as he is there main scorer. They havent won a game in the championship yet and are stuggling at the moment as a lot of there junior team will not move up to help there seniors. Edenderry on the other hand are on excellent form athe moment. Beating Rhode seniors in league semi-final last week and then losing to ballycumber in Extra time in the final on saturday last. They have a very young team mixed with a few of the older generation from the last winning championship side. Edenderry to win with a few to spare.

Gonna do an accumalator which pays 17.5/1 and 3 x Doubles

As the saying goes ''2 out of 3 aint bad''. So close with the Walsh Island Game. Would of made a nice return. Still a small profit will do me. The bookies really havent a clue sometimes when it comes to club football. Will have more up in 2 weeks for next round.

Over 2.5 Galway goals is 6/4.

I think a great bet this weekend is over 31.5 points in the Wexford, Limerick game @ 10/11. Both Wexford and Limerick have been posting big scores recently and I can see a few goals in this game so I don't think 16 points each is too much of an ask. Weather is forecast to be good aswell so conditions shouldn't be too challenging.

Man of the match betting isn't up for the hurling games on Sunday but I'll be throwing a few quid on Declan Hannon. He'll be taking the frees for Limerick and I can see him having a big game. Limerick at 7/4 is a tempting price for me too but I won't put the hex on them and put my money on them.

Cork minus 2 @ 4/5 against Down is another bet I'll be doing aswell. I think Down aren't the team people are making them out to be. Poor against Clare. Struggled for a while against Leitrim who wouldn't exactly be setting football alight and were flattered a bit against Antrim. I feel they got lucky in the championship last year too but that's for another thread.

First bet was as good as up at half time with the score 10 - 9.

Declan Hannon was Limerick's best player with a lot of scores from play and frees so if Limerick had won he'd have had a great chance of getting it. Didn't back Limerick thank God. Exposed at full back and centre back.

Cork never looked like losing and was easy money in fairness.

feck the odds for tyrone, kerry, cork, kildare, tipp and kilkenny are a joke! is anyone even seriously considering them?

The values in the handicap market if there is any to be had.

Handicaps are a bit of a lottery. I think Limerick will be closer to Kerry this time but won't win. Will do Limerick plus 10 or so.

I can see one surprise in the games but which one?:D

Its hard to see Tyrone and Cork not winning so still worth having a bet on. Kerry arent worth putting in any bet at that price. Kildare have played a lot of football recently so wouldnt be including them either.

    Cork @ 4/11 Alternative Handicap(-2.0) Cork v Mayo
    Kerry @ 4/9 Alternative Handicap(-6.0) Kerry v Limerick
    Tyrone @ 4/7 Alternative Handicap(-3.0) Tyrone v Roscommon
Kildare @ 8/13 Match Betting Kildare v Donegal

€1 down with potential €5 return...

not great odds but feck it sur.. Kildare and Donegal is the one I'm most worried about tbh... Kildare should be good enough to beat Donegal but I won't be half surprised if Donegal do win it either...

The other one I'd be slightly worried about is Kerry -6.. can see Kerry dominating all game and being ahead by 7-8 points but then in the last minute Limerick come down the field and get a goal for pride... shouldn't happen but ya never know

    Dublin are 10/1 v Tipp.

Absolutely nuts in a two horse race.

    Dublin +9
    Waterford +9

€1 returns €3.63. Crazy odds for an All Ireland semi final.

Fancy Tyrone @ 9/1 for the All Ireland.

There's no messing from them once they get to Croker.

Kerry -2 and Cork -6 would be a better bet.

An outside bet I can see having a chance is Limerick over 1.5 goals at 7/2. They raised 3 green flags already against Kerry and Offaly and if they are to have any chance they are going to have to raise a few more. Worth a fiver for me anyway.

No just for Limerick to score over 1.5 goals i.e. 2 or more goals

Don't know if they have it in them myself but stranger things have happened. Kerry are always mad for action come squeeky bum time and that time is now :D

Anyone else think the odds on the kildare v Donegal are rubbish, kildare are 8/13, its by no means a guaranteed result or anything, Donegal are Ulster champions after all, put 100 on Kildare anyways

I'd consider them about right myself, will be having some of that 8/13 also. Didnt get looking around for prices yet but that 8/13 could be swallowed up pretty quick and i would expect them to be shorter come the weekend.

It would be advisable to get on early or wait for in- play and hope donegal get a point or 2 first.

yah i put 100e on Kildare beating Donegal, Tyrone beating Roscommon, Kerry beating Limerick and Cork beating Mayo.
I put another 100e on all those results aswell leaving the Kildare match out because i dont think its anywhere near a certainty, i would agree with you about the odds getting worse near match day

Can't see any upsets with your other picks either, but then again its the GAA!!

tbh, i find GAA football betting a more reliable type of betting, at least you know the lads have pride in their county and do everything they can to win, not just turn up on the day

Il be doing my bet tomorrow before prices shorten coming into the weekend.
tyrone(-2)4/9 fancy seasoned northerners to overcome roscommom easily enough.Game being played in croker is also to the advantage of tyrone.
Kerry(-4)2/9 kingdom should win with a canter but can see late limerick goal to restore some pride.More than 4 points win should still be achieveable though.
Cork 2/9 the loss of Goulding is a bigger loss than people may think. He he Corks main score getter along with O Connor.Mayo may seem poor enough but they can always produce a big performance in croke park.Il happily stick to just the match betting.Cork to shade it.

Odds are from pp website. The treble works out to about 11/10.Il have 50 sheets on that please.Heres hoping to back to back wins.
