Soundtrack To Your Angst

No PC internet at the moment but am super excited about the new M83 album teaser on youtube. Looks epic.

Was DJing live for the first time on Thursday. Was absolutely epic, my song choices managed to almost turn a fairly bad teenage disco into something excellent. And then when I left (I only had a short amount of time), people were remarking on how bad the 2nd DJ was. Got asked to DJ someone's birthday, and I've been told that I'll get a much longer gig back there soon. Nice... I think I'm going to have to do this more often.

People seemed to like it, although one person said I might have been too good (some people started going insane towards the end, but I'm fairly sure that's their fault, not mine). I honestly don't know how it's possible to be "good" at this, I just play other people's records and mix them together.

Did some nice mixing (like this, which I'm going to try and make into a full track), progressing to watching people going mental to these:

Listen to Bell x1. They cover all the bases. Happy, sad, lonely, in love etc. Possibly the best lyricists ever!

That's his best remix so far in my opinion.

Clare Maguire; her album is hit and miss but she has an unreal voice. She could potentially be brilliant.

I couldn't believe that was the Osmonds; I thought they were all Jesussy and twee but that song was actually pretty decent. And whichever one of them sang the chorus has/had a great voice. I was shocked.

^ I went on one of my last.fm stalking sessions and stumbled onto your page where I availed of a link to the free last.fm music player, ruddy great! Though I can't seem to get it to scrobble stuff onto my own page.

Left this song off a mix and consequently feel like I've wronged it.

Nah, a different one. I tried that one though and it wouldn't scrobble either. Gonna stick with this one, at least it has a thing for volume.
