Verifying Windows Licenses

I've a number of client machines, and basically I want to check whether they're all properly licensed or not.. is there any quick way of doing this? or is it possible? Is the licence even listed anywhere in the registry that could be checked via a script on the server? [edit] I should add that theres a variety of operating…

[edit] I should add that theres a variety of operating systems.. 98SE/2000/NT/XP.. and its just too much hassle looking for individual machine certificates...

You should find your info under Product Key or ProductID, depending on version of Windows.

That shouldn't work in Windows2000 ... I can't check right now but last time licence keys were brought up I remember it was a pain to get them out of 2000 .... see:
