I'll be in Chicago in late Nov.
Bears are due to play Chargers on 20/11 ( if there is an NFL season).

How hard is it to get tickets for NFL games ( i.e. ticket for Soldier Field)?

Has anybody on Boards booked tickets from here for an NFL game.
Whats the best way to book...any details would help.

Notre Dame play Boston Coll. on the 19/11....would that be an option re:tickets & travel from Chicago ?

    thanks Phil

Later in the summer, details will be given on ticket sales.
The sale date will be well advertised, just read the Bears website. The morning they go on sale just be ready with your details and credit card

If you do miss out, the website will have ticket exchange run by ticketmaster. Prices will be a bit higher but still affordable and it's not like you're going to a division game. In fact it's not even a conference game.
Now if this was a division game expect to pay more
There are other options like stubhub but the best option is get the official site the minute they go on sale

I'm so envious you're going to South Bend
You'll be getting the train from Chicago where the drinking on the train is famous
Have a read of this site and do a few searches. Good forum and lots of info

Has a visitors guide and gives all the tips for new visitors.

Bears can be hard to get tickets for. General sale will most likely go on sale Late July and early August as it does for most teams. Only problem with that its like any concert and any popular sports event they sell fast. Other than that there are sites that trade or sell tickets above the face value including the NFL's ticket links:

    http://www.nfl.com/tickets

    www.stubhub.com

    http://www.chefkotix.com/

    www.vividseats.com

Loads of them out there. Other lads on here have used other sites in the past also.

As for the ND vs BC game. Not too hard to get to get to from Chicago but its a long drive or ride on train and Irish tickets are hard to come by. Again there are lads on here who have gone to Irish games or are alumni who can give you more details. Driven from Chi town myself out that way but never to a game.

Edit: OP throwing this wiki link in here for ye. The game with Boston College is a Huge rivalry and if you get tickets for it there will be an epic atmosphere at it thats for sure. As a BC fan I is also envious of your planned trip

Yeah i'll be in Chicago too for the summer. Hate the Bears, but sure if I can get a cheap pre-season game in i'll go along.

Anybody any idea of prices? Pre-season games would hardly sell out would they?

Pre-season games are a rip off to be honest. I have never been to a Pats pre-season game as the tickets were usually something like 40-50 bills. No idea about the Bears though.

I know. You'll have to pretend to be a Chargers fan when buying them. And when u get to the game don't let on where u got the tix as you will probably be with some Charger fans!.

Buy them anyway. If you get two you will easily make your money back if you cant go.

I'm not actually organising it so I don't want to pressure people. :mad

I would love to though but we don't even have a definite plan of going to Boston or NY.

may apologies for the delayed response Philon :
I stayed in the HIlton Michigan Ave , the Bears team stay there following a home game , so if you speak to the porter/conceige , he might get you in to meet a few of the players following their press conferences.

I myself got to meet , Robbie Gould, Kyle orton and Rashid Davis ,

You can go onto stub hub or some other ticket tout website and pay double the price...so $150 a ticket generally

Got my tickets for the Bears game ( Vs Chargers) and managed to book The Hilton, Mchigan Ave for the night of the game ... so heres hoping to blag way into meeting some players

Unfortunetly, won't make the Notre Dame game ( as orininally planned) but I'll be in Philly the following week, seen they were playing The Pats and managed to grab tickets for that game also :D

.....Now how cold is Chicago in late November ???haha

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,969 ✭✭✭Raoul

So...are those sites mentioned earlier in the thread definitely the best places to get tickets?

Will be going to NY in November and hope to go to a couple of games. Jets v Pats and Giants v Eagles.

Ha ha, you're not asking for much by those games you're planning on going to are you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,969 ✭✭✭Raoul

Yeah well the tickets are available for about 170dollars for the worst seats. But I am happy enough to go along with that unless someone else has a better site or idea or anything!!!!! ha. :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 283 ✭✭philon

I got Bears tickets on NFL Ticket Exchange for $169.00 and my Philly Tickets on ( US) Ticketmaster for $86.00 each.
Price depends on game and if its a sellout ( Bears game was).
Got ticket confirmation from both, so i'm happy to go with that.

Just looking at buying tickets on ticketexchange for eagles@giants in november, they are pricey enough, cheapest at $125, those are right up top at the end, how bad is the view from these seats does anyone know?

Not my idea of good value. Pay an extra 40 euro and go to the same height at the sideline. Probably still not great value but best you can get.
