Up until now I had thought that last seasons white strip would be staying on this year, but i heard earlier that the black jersey with red trimming would become this seasons third strip. Anyone know if that is the case? i do like the look of the black strip.

    EDIT: This one.

If that's the third kit then I'll be ecstatic!

As far as I know the white one is staying on as the 3rd kit, maybe that one is the training kit?

that is what I thought, but I think the lack one might actually be real. Saw a pic on twitter earlier with all 3 kits together at what looked like a promo launch or something.

lovely kit glad i didnt rush into buying the home one, the away kits always seem to be nicer.

i dont like this seasons home kit to be honest very plain.

Agreed. It looks a bit cheap to me. Still, when the goals start going in, it will look like the kit of Champions.

    One VERY deluded man.
Read his lips " I am happy at Inter"
    Now read Inters lips
    "He is NOT for sale"

    Honestly, you guys.;)
Theres more chance of Levy driving Modric to the airport with a "Please deliver first class to Stamford Bridge" sign around his neck.

Just watching MUTV and Rooney goals, Ronaldo Rooney and Van Nistelrooy. What a 3 to have in the one team.

ye i say it will grow on you bud i taught last years white away kit was also cheap lookin, i actually taught it looked more like a training jersey to be honest but it grew on me throughout the season and i ended up buying it in lifestyle for 20 odd quid last week there sellin of all last seasons gear.

it might be stupid but the new black and blue away strip is pretty dark in color so i don't know how they could have another dark strip as there 3rd kit i think they are clashing a bit, it would make sense to have a white etc strip as there 3rd so that black one might be just a training kit but i could be wrong.
As far as I know the white one is staying on as the 3rd kit, maybe that one is the training kit?

i hope so that would be good i just bought it, it could be true as united kept the balck one with blue V in the middle as last seasons 3rd kit.

The all black one is soo much better than the black and blue one. I've never really been a fan of blue as I don't see it as United colours which imo should only be red, white and black. When was the last time United had hoops on the jersey too? Might buy it on Soccertriads but only because the home one is fairly bland.

Would be a genius bit of marketing tbh if they did it.

Terms agreed with Sneijder if anybody chooses to believe the Mirror btw.

the main reason that green and gold one wil never be a united jersey is not because it would be a political a-bomb (not that the glazers would care) - it is because it is nice and imaginative. Nike are alien to both of those.

wasnt that the problem, the 3 couldnt play together? its no coincidence, ronaldo flourished when van nistelrooy left. i loved ruud at united, but our football was poor for 2 or 3 years with him as the axis of the team.

He's also a big United fan so he wants to believe all this an awful lot too.;)

His wife is banging on about how much she loves Milan at the moment on Twitter too. I can and will twist every last bit of info to suit my argument.:pac:

Sneijder at around £30m would be something that while I'd obviously be happy that United got another great player I wouldn't be over the moon with it really.

For that type of money you could probably come close to getting the best young attacking midfielders in the world. With Sneijder being 27 I'd say 5 or 6 seasons at the top of his game injury and team style permitting would be the absolute maximum that you could expect.

I still don't know why Fergie didn't just work him (and a couple of other Madrid outcasts) into the Ronaldo deal, it made perfect sense at the time.

I always felt we were a bit one dimensional with RVN as the focal point of our attack alright.

That was a myth imo, they most definitely could play together it's just Ruud didn't get along with Ronaldo. United were crying out for a poacher really until Chicarito signed this season. In the double season if you put Ruud in there instead of Tevez I'd say he would have gotten 25 goals easy.

should also add that him and Rooney were a joy to watch together, Ronaldo was going to be Ronaldo and score a truckload of goals no matter what really, I think Ruud would have outscored Tevez by quite a bit.

I presume it's because its a lot quicker taking an airplane back from South Africa than a boat or car.

we have a couple of great midfielders coming through in Morrison and Pogba - I think Fergie could be looking at signing an experienced (and class) player like Sneijder to mentor them through.

As for fitting him into the side, I know how I would do it, but I don't know how Fergie plans on doing it.

uniteds transfer dealings in general in 09 were appaling. the benzema deal should have been tied up before ronaldo left, fergie stated "no value" yet he was to blame for that, when the ronaldo deal drove up the prices all over europe and people new United had 100m. looks like its only being spent this summer now also.

we could have went for him and robben as well as benzema in 09, but f*cked it up. the money was there, so made no sense.

Robben and Sneijder would have been the two players to get as part of the Ronaldo transfer.two excellent players who were sold soon after for very low fees.'09 was a poor summer transfer wise from United.

Pogba and Morrison, promising as they look, could be duds (or in jail ) when they reach the big time though and putting the future midfield in 3 or 4 years when the likes of Carrick, Fletch and potentially Sneijder are on the downward curve wouldn't be wise imo. You could say then just buy someone else but it's been shown that very few players exist that can play the creative midfield role at the elite teams and that would be very risky imo.
