i've got a room in Shan Hall, bit more expensive than on campus, but the rules are better; no fines :)
getting a house is the best idea if you've got trustworthy friends to share with, vis-à-vis bills, rent, etc but I didn't have that option unfortunately

I'm hopefully going into second year but lived on campus for the first year. They were very strict on certain things and def couldnt have a large gathering of friends there after midnight.

This year i'm going to be renting a room in a house thats near DCU or along some transport lines as its way less expensive than living on campus just trying to find the right one seems to be tricky :p

Living on campus for third year in a row.
So far Larkfield, Hampstead and moving into college park.
Never gotten as fine in the time I've been there.
Campus is odd in the way that it suits quiet people who want to be near class, library and societies, yet those quiet people complain about how loud it can get (those darn kids coming back from nights out)
