County Council Mobility Access Grants and getting paid

    Hi guys!

Does anyone know anything about Council Mobility Grants.

What I'm wondering about in particular is in relation to contractors that do the work getting paid. I know that what happens is that if you are approved for this grant, the contractor does the work and then the Council inspects the work and hands over the money to the householder..not directly to the contractor.

If the householder does not pass on the money, is it an offence? Anyone know of any relevant legislation or rules about this?

    Thanks!

    It may be fraud.

Raising the matter with the council may bring results.
