There's a Béibhinn or Béibhín in our parish. Only time I ever heard it.

That's my sister's name, pronounced 'bay-veen', it usually takes a few goes before people get the hang of it. Mine's a bit awkward too - Ailbhe...
    Why oh why couldn't I be a 'Sarah'!? :(

Biggest domestic breed of cat in the world, fully grown he'll be about 25 lbs in weight. Beautiful looking cat though, looks like a small ginger lion.
Longest MC ever measured is one in Reno U.S. last year at 48 and a half " nose to tip of his tail.

    Knew a Beibhinn before.

Also a Draioch (as in Draiocht without the t). His (yes, his) parents thought it was a nice sounding word / name.

    Imagine naming your son Magi(c)

Why oh Why would anybody do this to their child.

It must be a very severe case of 'self interested dogma'& 'My Self Absorbed Opionions & Fcuck my kids & I'll do what 'I' like & Fcuk my kids, because' I', the 'Great One' has a Padraig Pearse Complex about everything!

Mr Pearse is the original problem in this country.

He seems like a very nasty piece of work IMO.

My name is an Irish obscure name...so obscure that I've only met one other person with my name (she wasn't very friendly...though we'd bond over the struggle of living with our name but she totally blanked me  ) Can't tell as tenner bets someone out there will know someone who knows someone...

Gobnait, it's a girls name I think it's the Irish for Abigail. It's a fairly unusual name so it is.

I know at least 5 people called Gobnait. Think she's the patron saint of Ballyvourney, and I know a good few people from there. What a horrible name.

    Yeah, irish for Deborah..

When you were in primary school, did the teacher call your name out in Irish during roll call? I think they made mine up. I don't know how they even spelt it. Edit: Found it. \0/

.. that's how I know Gobnait is irish for Debbie. :)
