Shoulder surgery , how long before I'm back on the bike??

Before the Mods step in , I'm not looking for medical advice here . I had shoulder surgery about 2 months ago ( rotator cuff repair with acromiplasty ) . I'm out of a sling for the last 2 weeks and I'm doing physio both at home and in the local hospital . I'm cracking up not being able to get out on the bike ( only started driving last week , 7 weeks ) . Have any of you ever had surgery like this ? How long was it before you were back cycling , I'm only after an estimate ? Can't really get a straight answer from either the physio or the consultant( they're not cyclists ) , and some of the forums I've googled would frighten the sh**e out of you ( up to 8 months??) . I've set a target to do the Sean Kelly , would that be realistic?
