after such adverse weather conditions(to say the least) what work should I do to the bike this week to keep it in top shape? should the headset and bottom bracket be regreased. I have already cleaned bike and chain but is there any other suggestions??????

    thanks

Kinda depends on what bike/compenetry you have. Most bearings are sealed and just not worth the hassle of stripping and regreasing.
Certainly a good clean of the cassette, mechs and chainring. A good wipe down of the chain and relube. If the shifting of the gears go a bit arseways in a week or so you may need to change the cables and housing. Same with the brakes. If they start getting sticky replace both cable and housing. Water may have got in and will start disrupting movement of the cable.
Take off the wheels and clean out your brake pads of all the crap that has built up on them. Same with the brake track on the wheel. A good hard rub.
