    No

No. You'll be expected to know the deductions and how they work, but not asked to prove them.

What are deductions by the way?
I don't think my maths teacher told us

For the theorems, must we just draw the diagram and write the proof?

Is ANYONE else doing the project maths paper

Yeah I am! I'm freaking out because I found the mock paper really hard, I hate project maths :(

Just need a bit of clarification.

For the circumcirlce, do you bisect two angles, or two sides?

For the circumcircle you bisect two sides, for the incircle you bisect two angles :)

    Circumcircle is bisecting lines.
    Incircle is bisecting angles.
    EDIT: CURSE YOU INDIEGOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Some Geometry C parts are absolutely terrifying...I've looked back and done the last three years and now I'm too scared to do anymore. Attempt marks and hoping that it dawns on me in an exam scenario are my only hope for tomorrow...:(

(2008 3C makes no sense, even with a marking scheme...but hey, it was only worth 10 marks in the end, probably because it was answered badly. <3 the marking sheme.)

Deductions are things that are true due to the theorems. For example, if the angle at the centre of the circle is a straight line, then the angle above it is a right angle.

Another deduction is that opposite angles on a cyclic quadrilateral equal 180 degrees.

If there are 6 things in the 0-10 category, draw as normal
if there are 18 things in the 30-60 category tho, there are three 10 parts so you divide 18 by 3 to get 6

I'm far too stressed to check if there's been mention of this before, but is there going to be a pie chart? Because I have no idea how to draw those! :(

Say if there are 20 people out of 98 people who don't know how to draw pie charts. You would put 20 over 98 and multiply it by 360. That would be the length of the angle.

You then just draw with a compass and protractor.

pie chart came up last year do probably won't come up tomorrow

If you double the base, you half the height.

I'm trying to remember how to even construct a pie chart...I'd say it'd come back to me if I started at it though!

I haven't even looked at theorems yet, or memorised the different symmetry things...I'm such a failure, I better just be in a mathematical mood tomorrow.

Do we need to know how to do a Pie Chart ?

It's better to use a ruler than a crazy straw to get the lines straight :)

I am actually praying phytagoras stays away this year. I hate that theorem.

I thought I had it learned but nooo. sigh

Lol, I just skipped the theorems I dont understand where they come from so I didnt waste my time on them :o, good luck everyone, we'll all need it :(

    ****tin it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 144 ✭✭cantanstrophe

I've been going through marking schemes, and as long as you get most of the questions right, then you can just get attempt marks for the theorem and it's grand. That's what I'll do :D
