ok got a 2006 seat toledo here with passenger window regulator wire broke but i went to remove the inside panel - its a completely different setup to the older model which was fairly easy to replace... this looks very very difficult..
anyone any step by step instructions etc on how to do this thanks

If it is the same as the VW set up you have to get the full metal panel

There is 2 rubber grommits that you need to remove. Once these are out you lower the window until you can see the 2 bolts holding the glass. loosen these and pull the window up by hand and tape it in place with duct tape.

The panel comes off with a load of torx bolts I think.

On the golf the speakers are held in with pop rivets, You will need to drill these out and have rivets and a rivet gun to put them back or else try self tappers

Looking at this thread it looks to be the same set up.

I got mine from the main dealers for 110 I think. The whole shebang, no messing with cables and the likes. Think it was a tenner more than the spurious part
