How do i remove unwanted songs from ipod classic

I figured out how to remove the songs from the library but they stay on my ipod, Ive looked at the tutorials but it only tells me how to remove them from the library, so can any one help me remove them from my ipod, Thanks:D

Have you synced the ipod with itunes yet? Once the songs are no longer in the library once you sync it they should be deleted from the ipod.

If you have the songs on playlists, untick or remove the playlists from the iPod, then sync.
