    Hey folks, looking at investing in a new set of wheels, Mavic Aksium, Fulcrum 7's, Shimano Rs30's are currently top of the list! any thouights before i get the credit card out?

    Wait a while until the Aksiums are on offer again. You just missed a €125 deal in cycle superstore last week but they'll come around at that price again.

    Really nice wheels, I've been riding them for the last year and a bit.

    I give Aksiums a big thumbs up, Been on them 2 years and have not had to take a spoke key to them yet despite the state of our roads. Very good value.

    I have the fulcrum 7 and wouldnt buy them again. The freewheel is way too loud and they flex from side to side when out of the saddle even after being serviced and i wouldnt be heavy on them either. have the 5"s on another bike that has done 6000 mls and no problem at all with them.
