UPC PVR vs. Freesat+/Sky+

    Hi everyone

We might move house in the coming months, new address is one of the areas with the fast UPC broadband so the TV/phone/bundles from UPC are very attractive.

Currently we have Freesat+ with the Humax box and Saorview via the DTT tuner in the TV. Works well.

How does the UPC PVR functionality compare with Freesat+ (or Sky+). Is it reliable? What kind of HD capacity does the box have?

Is the SD picture quality ok on UPC? (we had it at old address some time back and it was poor at times). What about the HD channels?

Thanks for any help with this.

Stick with what you have. It's a superior (and subscription free) setup. UPC will be a world if pain and frustration if you have become used to using the Humax box. Only plus side of changing to UPC is ability to record the Irish channels on the same unit.
