Yeah, I've been seeing this announcement on the Black Ops main menu for the past couple of days now. I never really paid any attention to it but now that I've checked it out, it's pretty exciting! But it's pretty overwhelming too since I haven't really memorized all the maps yet.

No exact PS3 #Escalation release timing unfortunately, but it's tonight - Leeg17 sucks And yes, Double-XP/CP will go live afterward on PS3, 360, & Wii.

I have zero interest in getting these maps... God, Black Ops did not come close to my expectations for it.

They had to keep the size down on xbox because of the 2gb hard drives

Not really feeling this map pack tbh.. very bleh..... Haven't played convoy yet but stockpile and hotel are a bit ****e, i like zoo a wee bit. Maybe it'll be better when the camping calms down a bit and it picks up a bit more pace.

Camping is a piss-off but hopefully it dies down when people learn the maps.
I've played each map at least once and am happy with the purchase, well worth the €3.50 or so each!

Just had a quick run around in private match. Initial thoughts -

Carnival MK II aka Zoo is a **** hole.

Hotel is excellent.

Convoy looks decent, visually anyway.

Stockpile -_- (as Zoo)

So yeah, from all the way back when pics first shown. My thoughts are exactly the same.

PS: I didn't test whether the doors in Stockpile would crush me :whistles:

I'm with El LoCo Ade when it comes to Zoo. It's too much like carnival which I hated. Haven't read anything about the new levels, so first time I saw them was when I downloaded them last night. When Zoo came up I thought it would have animals you could shoot!

Like all the others though.

I'm possibly being a bit harsh as I went into a game with all but one not using ghost and motion sensors/claymores and the other one(next game after I raged quit after the first one on zoo) I joined halfway and it was the same again.

Couldn't find my bearings whatsoever but that'll come with time but even still, it's a map I have no wish of playing again! It feels like Carnival and looks like Carnival but worse.. somehow! :pac:

Still have to play the other ones.

Just out of curiosity. How long does it take for most people to download these map packs?

For me it usually takes 4-5 days of downloading. Pretty ****ing awful in this day and age but that's Perlico for you.

Not going to bother with Escalation as I don't think the price or past map packs are worth it also just cannot be arsed waiting days to download them.

Ade took nearly 9 hours, but 4 days, are you serious? That's disgraceful :eek:

I bought it for the Zombie Map and dissapointed.

Der Riese is still the best Zombie Level and there are still 10,000 people playing it every night.

Multiplayer Black Ops just doesn't compare to MW2....just biding the time till November's release.
