Say this etched on a rock by the side of the road near Nad in County Cork at the weekend. Looked like it was of some significance. Anyone have any ideas what this is about?

I've often wondered about this myself. I've seen it many times. Someone suggested that mybe John O'Neill did it himself on his way to Cobh to get the boat to America, not sure how true that is though. Brosna is in Kerry, not far from Rockchapel, and from there to Cork the easiest route may be to Kanturk, Banteer et.

I think it was a mass rock. I live near that spot.

Thanks for the info... be good to find out the truth behind it.

This guy claims it was simply graffti or some thing.

Is it authentic? No one has attempted to put it in a museum or anything
