Hi guys. I keep getting the dreaded blue screen. It gives me a code like 804FB051 when it shuts down.

Anybody able to help me figure out the problem? I deleted the last thing I put on the computer (well the stupid sister put on).

What version of Windows is it? And what was the last thing you removed?

Its windows XP. I haven't tried safe mode yet. Would ye recommend it?

I deleted those files and its working a bit longer than the first two times it went blue.

safe mode loads the system with minimal drivers and associated applications.

Run in safe mode and try identify what is causing the conflict (most likely a driver)

I went into Safe Mode and the Blue screen appeared with the error after the black screen with all the details etc.

I'm in Safe Mode went Networking now.

Can you be more specific on the error code.

Right click on my computer and click properties -> Advanced -> Uder Startup and Recovery Click Settings.

Make sure the Small Minidump is selected, automatic restart is enabled and check the default location is set to C:\Windows\Minidump or similar.

If these are already selected Under My Computer go to C:\Windows\Minidump and upload the latest files here and we should be able to tell you whats causing the problem.

If the settings need to be changed just apply the settings and restart the computer a few times so it crashes and creates the dump files then upload them.
