Only back playing a couple of days and playing the objectives is so satisfying when you beat that guy going for the killstreaks. Game today; was 1-6 while some lad was after going 9-0 and had a chopper gunner a couple of minutes in. Ended up 18-15 with 8 captures and 8 defends and beat his 30-12 with 2 & 0. Like 2 captures in an entire mercenary game including that gimme at the start? It's all about the Win though!

Have been playing a good bit of CTF as I want to get marathon pro. Cannot believe the amount of camping that goes on around the base flag. Idiots like this will hide behind the fact that they're 'Defending the flag' when all they're doing is aiming down the sight on somebody to come across their screen and boost their kd.

Defending the flag, especially against a good team is part of the game tbh, not quite ADS at the flag but hanging back in the general vicinity to
1. defend any capped flags
2. capture any dropped friendly flags

yup, defending is just as important as attacking a flag ! Least in domination and probably more so in CTF. I hate sitting back at A or C and prefer to play infront of the B flag so i can keep it on lockdown... but if our team has no1 defending or im playing with randoms with no campers at base flag, i find myself constantly in the middle trying to defend both flags on my own. It can be fun but also very frustrating... and i think anyone thats played with me when things don't go too plan will know how badly i hate losing

, im probably the worst loser in the world when it comes to CoD... Poor random noobs get an earful sometimes. So yeah... i like to see 2 or 3 campers at A on my team, lets me worry solely on the B flag.

Anybody else having difficulty connecting to the COD servers ?

I can play Zombie multiplayer no problem but when I try to play COD I get a server not available message. Almost every time !

Played for about an hour earlier. Just rage quit and turned off the ps3. Played games where bullets didnt hurt people and I literally just played a game of DOM where EVERY SINGLE MOTHERFÚCKER on the enemy team ran ghost. I was only playing with one other person and my team werent great but we were winning. Then they got a blackbird from a carpack and managed to triple cap us and take the win. So fúcking annoyed.

hi all....long time lurker but new enough poster ...but i just wanted to express my absolute hatred of the second chance perk and the cowards that use it.
how is it possible that i can roll up behind a player ..empty half a clip and the sucker can fall down and shoot me dead with a pistol.
and it goes for all of the call of duty games (especially world @ war where 4 outta the 6 opponents usually have it)

also when a guy has layed down and shot me a few times , then usually messages me after to tell me in useless even though ive reached top prestige without with a 3 average without eer using this silly horrible perk..

Why BO's is my least favorite cod:

5. Slow paced, everything goes so slow
4. Limited amount of usable guns. Shotguns are dirt
3. Hit detection is terrible
2. Ghost and second chance. Again making the game slower. I despise these
1. Lag worse than every cod by a mile

People complaining about the famas must be running out of things to moan about. Like it's one of the more versatile and popular guns like the 74u but isn't without a weakness.

There isn't much to give out about in Black Ops from a gameplay standpoint IMO bar a couple of the guns and perks. Anybody who is remotely decent can dominate with a Famas fairly comfortably. The game is littered with people who are too much in their comfort zone and are unwilling to try other guns more than a game or two if even that.

The lack of recoil be it from distance or hip fire spread + the fire rate puts this gun on a completely different level to the rest. Only does the 74u come close. I like running dual wielding weapons, FAL, shotguns for numerous reasons but I ain't going to adhere to the can't beat, join em. I guess you can say it's not my fault for not doing so but smh, I find it massively boring to stick with the same over and over and over again for near a year.

I just use the Famas until I unlock the commando which I much prefer - its just a more slick weapon as to me the Famas feels a bit chunky

for close quarters map the MPL with rapid fire and extended mags (possibly scavenger too) is the fo shizzel. throw in slight of hand, Marathon and maybe lightweight (if you arent using scavenger) and you become an unstopble beast

To be fair I dont even notice what gun the other player used to kill me. Its lag that kills me majority of the time anyway. The Famas is the overused gun. I dont see anything remarkably special about it.

What annoys me about the Famas/74u is when I'm playing on my own I can easily dominate with it, topping the leaderboard like I did yesterday with a friend from IRL going 33-4 in reg TDM.

I like a challenge, hence most of the time using lesser guns like the Mp5k, MPL, Kiparis, FAL etc. Going 50-20 with the Kiparis is way more enjoyable and rewarding than going 50-20 with the Famas.

S&D last alive in Array.
Running down the little ravine in the mountain before the tv tower and spot a sniper lying prone behind a rock.
Sneak up behind him and tomahawk the guy but it turns out he's already dead and on my team.
Pick up axe and run around the rock right into a claymore even though I'm running hacker pro.
Team mates were not very supportive and some comments were down right mean! :P

When are you having Ade's baby ?

Started off with dual kaparis' last night on dom. Quickly changed though after I saw the place light up with motion sensors and claymores ! .

Hey. I rarely dominate with a famas and i'm a decent player. That said, the famas is fourth in terms of how often I use a gun and I will forever have a crappy connection. I suppose what im trying to get at is dominating consistently comes down to more than just the gun and being decent. Positioning, smarts, your own accuracy...

I find there's recoil on the gun when i go full auto. If i'm using it with burst fire then naturally there'll be minimal recoil. Rarely get much use out of hip firing with any ARs so cant really comment or compare it to others. The feature that's the guns main strength is the rate of fire as you mentioned. I'd been thinking of the in game gun stat bars which I think show the famas' damage at 5/10 but just looked up the gun stats there and you're actually right in that it has an overall advantage. It should have its damage reduced from 35-25 to 30-20 or something that doesn't keep it on a 3-4 bullet kill like all the other slower firing ARs.

I'm still not a big fan of the feel of it though but it's definitely one of the best camping guns. Prefer something like the ak47 when going for objectives and taking on multiple enemies. Like using the commando over it cos it looks and feel better. The ak74u in close quarters just so i can have a bit more movement when aiming down the sights. I've tried most guns, just dont like a lot of them.

What are you running(perks) with Dual Karparis? Have to really be strategic when using it but it's all so rewarding. I'd say the dual skorpions would be easier to handle if you're going to give dual weapons a bash. The other night I was constantly top scoring with them. Tearing the other team(s) a new one. Good times. Look fairly awesome in gold too :cool:

Napalm not CP, I should have specified. Handy for locking them into their spawn, or throwing over an objective to cap/defend it.

No offence intendedall man at , cba'ed rehashing why the Famas is the most superior gun. But to be blunt, there's a reason why near all competitive gaming players in Black Ops rely by on the Famas. Not just talking about gamebattle kiddies but those who play at the very highest level players like those who take part in MLG.

I personally didn't like the Famas. It took me near 14 prestiges to finally bother myself to use it but there's no doubt as to the difference in overall scores that were produced consistently. I was very much the same with the UMP in MW2.

Of course personal preference comes into play. I much prefer the AK47 and the majority of unpopular guns, they feel more natural to me. But if I stuck with an entire prestige with the famas and one with the AK, I have little doubt my stats were be better if I used the former.

But as I said before, I don't get any real joy out of using the Famas. It feels like I'm in cruise control. Easy mode if you will. I've blabbered about it umpteen times now but the common COD player will stick with the best gun and won't venture away from it for more than a few games.

I was actually really tempted to start a new account and use the Famas only to prove a point. I'd be very confident about doubling my K/D with the Famas. But it's too boring. I love using dual weapons, Olympias and can't change from that personally speaking.

edit - on a general note, not saying for people to change from their playstyle or anything but I don't think people people see it from my perspective enough. Also I just don't see the point in clearly strong players bragging about being awesome if they use every advantage possible. Youtube commentators are full of this crap really.

L96 = Winner... anyone that can do well consistantly with one of the snipers is a beast imo... especially those that play the objective and still quickscope those fools

The famas is obviously a problem in this game.

Even regardless if you think it's OP or not, it's boring as f*ck to see every scrub using one (MP40 effect). This point is strengthened by the fact that you can pick up a famas almost any time you like. In most game modes they are littered all over the map.
