(genre)step is just a way of saying (genre)-influenced dubstep. Kinda in the same way that dub influenced dubstep in the first place.
Reason why I said chillstep is because that's what Azedia called it themselves on their soundcloud page. Don't hate me for saying it :P

Nah, I wasn't having a go at you at all mate, I just wonder why an artist would label it chillstep when just dubstep would suffice as there are various different types of it, even if its mellow, laid back or the type with the heaviest bass and drums imaginable, could be just them inventing a new genre for the sake of publicity, I dunno.

Sorry dude, but at least one of those guitars was awfully tuned! The "lead" (picking, I suppose) guitar is definitely not in key.

The vocals are great though!

Yeah, that's what I thought!
Both guitars were in tune with themselves, but not with each other. It was because we only had one guitar on the day and had to borrow off another group, and then didn't get a chance to make sure they were both in tune.

They are both out of tune to be honest.

The one used for rhythm and the one for lead.

Could they not have been given a quick tune up beforehand?

Well with the rhythm we were handed it literally two seconds before that video, and the guy playing it isn't used to playing live and was too nervous to think about tuning..

But yeah, I'll take accountability on the fact that the lead was out of tune, that was just carelessness on my part..

Learned my lesson though. Next time I'll make sure everything is perfectly in tune. =P
