They're half decent, a few lads have them, compatible with Motorola single pin headsets.

Range is decent but it all depends on context. Heavy wooded area= small range. Wide open field=long range :)

They aren't suitable as marshall radios when you absolutely ,definitely need to be heard properly.

For players on an average sunday skirmish they're spot on for the money.

    You should ask Gerrowadat.

kdouglas if he's around is a good person to ask, he did a comms in airsoft thread which someone less lazy than I could search for and link to.....

Edit: Just this once and only cause its a sunny friday of a bank holiday weekend (garuanteed to never happen again)...

    Comms in airsoft

In fact given how often this comes up , it wouldnt be a bad idea to sticky that thread somewhere, theres some good info in it.

Would these radios be the same or a bit better as the other lidl radios that theyve previously sold, the red/blue ones ?
And does anyone know if the red/blue ones are compatible with motorola single pin headsets aswell?
    Cheers

Picked up a set on Thursday.

In dublin city with lots of buildings in between the two radios, I got about half a km of distance before it started to crackle a bit, and a further half a km before the signal was lost completely.

Not sure what they'd be like in a woodland area. Possibly better range as I can only assume concrete/iron/steel would give more resistance to the signal than wood etc.

Sound quality is fine, perfectly acceptable. There is a tad delay on the VOX, but nothing you couldn't work around.

I've yet to test battery life.

All in all for the price paid, a decent set of radios.
