Moulding and casting

    Has anyone ever moulded and casted their own model parts. Whats the best materials to use and where to buy it.

    Ive a couple of 1/18 cars to convert to right hand drive so will need to cast those parts plus other bits

    There was a new product released last year, cannot remember the company but I'll try googling it- saw it on Tabletopgamingnews or somewhere like that.

    Esentially it is a gel block that you can make your own moulds from, once cast you heat the material and can make any other mould. Will work for most materials (obviously not heated metal) but latex or resin or 2 part putties.

    Try polymorph it's available on ebay or Maplins at a higher price:)
