How did he get back into the country if he lost his passport?

Ffs, the Herald is a rag.

Wouldn't wipe me swiss with it.

Murphy should be dealt with here.

Imagine the Herald if he hairy aped some Irish young wan in Lanzorote or some other kip that Irish proles go to for a week of Sky Sports, English breakfasts and warm Guinnness.

Why couldn't he get a passport from the Irish embassy in Madrid? There's no need for him to head to Dublin for one, plus as Frada said - how did he travel over? Unless he drove and came in on the ferry.

Probably issued an emergency one when he reported losing the main one.
Standard practice in all embassies abroad. No idea why he couldn't get a full one in Madrid.

Spanish laws regarding rape and murder are actually laxer than Ireland would you belive. The Irish judicial system has its problems but Spain is veering far too much down the road to the Scandinavian route (without its positive parts) in my opinion.

I dunno, I'm in Spain for a while now, and of what I've seen of the Spanish police, they can be pretty brutal. When they crack down, they really crack down.

He's not talking about police brutality though.

Thats what I've seen and heard too from others. There's no messing around with them.

It's not at all like the Guards here though. The Guardia Civil are not to be messed with. If Larry Murphy was to commit a crime in here Spain, I'm pretty sure the police would be pretty tough. They're quite old-school, and I've heard people here describing them as quite Franco-esque. I saw them cracking down on protesters in Barcelona, and I know that's not quite the same as tracking a killer or a rapist, but I can't imagine that they're much different when it comes to that.

Huge rumours locally that he's in Mullingar, rumours stating exactly what estate he's in, and apparantly he was seen in the post office collecting his social welfare.

This can only turn nasty, with stating what estate he's in, there's going to be a mob mentality jumping on every poor f*cker that looks like him.

Look at all the women ran out of towns in England when people were convinced they were Maxine Carr.
    i
Mob mentality is not the way to go people - innocent people will get attacked. Let him go about what he's doing, I'd hardly think they'll have him staying in Ireland for long anyway. He's too high profile.

It would probably have been sent to his home address and he wouldn't want people knowing that.

After reading the article in the Herald, it would appear to me that he is testing the waters to see if the reaction to him returning might have died down a bit...

I'm amazed he actually came back, but he better stay clear of Mayo though. The Gardai over there will probably rape him.

Why do we put so much emphasis on the criminal's rights here in Ireland?! If you commit such a horrendous crime, you should have to give up all but the most basic human rights. That poor woman must have gone through the worst ordeal, yet we prioritise his right to freedom over hers?!

He refused counselling and never showed remorse - he's likely to re-offend and he should be locked up because he's a danger to everyone else. Surely the right of everyone to safety is greater than his to freedom?

    2) Do more research in making the ginger gene extinct. It is obvious that the ginger would never get any hole by conventional means.

Er... what? Are you actually suggesting that people with ginger hair are more likely to become rapists? And from the few pics I've seen, Larry Murphy has brown hair anyway - what the hell are you talking about?!

The Larry Murphy murder/rape ticker on Sky News is currently at zero but is expected to rise any time soon.

We could use his energy to produce electricity. Strapping a couple of dynamos to his ball sack then tossing into the nearest brothel could power Dublin for a week.

Is she in prison for being raped or something?

No, but an attack like that can completely change/ruin a person's life. Being snatched off the street - can you not see how that may make someone afraid of leaving the house? If it was you, would you want to go out, knowing you might bump into him?!

And I was also talking about potential future victims - letting him wander around puts others at risk.

The State should have been responsible and set him up with a nice comfortable flat in downtown Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.

Can someone clear something up for me?

Did the FBI say that he was responsible for the disappearance of all those other poor women but he couldn't be tried under their findings in Irish law or is that just bar stool wisdom someone lead me to believe?
