Bianchi VIA Nirone 7

Hi folks,
Am thinking of buying a Bianchi VIA Nirone to upgrade from my first racer. Any thoughts? There doesn't seem to be too many of them floating around is that a good/bad thing?!
Also, I am being quoted about €1000. Is this about right or should I try haggle down?

I got a tiagra one last year from Evans in the UK for about €800.

There's not too many of them about because most people don't have any class or sense of style and would rather buy a Planet X or Canyon because their cheaper.;)

I've had one for about 4 years now. Very solid bike if a little heavy - mine is 9.2kg with a PT hub. Have put well over 20k miles into it. Do all my training on it, two seasons of TT's back in the UK, and road racing back here. Got mine for 800 stg in 2007 reduced from 1k stg as it had the old liquigas team stickers on it. I think 1000e for one is a decent deal although I'd go for Campag over Shimano if possible. There is something wrong with putting Shimano on Italian bikes.;)

Had one a few years ago.

My mate has one and its very nice. Bianchi would be a very desirable name, however they do tend to be overpriced. My friend paid 1500 for an 105 equipped one, considering that its an alu frame, there is definitely better value to be had. What groupset did you have and what groupset are you thinking of getting. Also where are u buying?
They are pretty though.

Bought mine in McQuaids' in Glasnevin. Give them a call.

Got it in Oct/Nov and love it. Best purchase ever. Do it, cos when u do you will be delighted by the fact that you have the best looking bike on the road!

I bought one from slane cycles before x-mass, it has the carbon seat stays and campag veloce groupset, got it for 1000stg about 1200euro, I have 1200 miles on it so far and just done my first sportive last weekend (100km) and i can't fault anything with it. I say go for it.

Yeah i am one of them people who bought cheaper cube peloton, 1k on the clock, no problems. My friend bought that Great via Nerone, 100km later he spend two hours truing his wheels. We went for a spin around Leixlip Dublin area, normal roads(no problems on my cube). They look nice but IMO don't look any better than cube, canyon, specialized etc. And from my experience better looking bike wont make you faster.

Just so you know I also own Bianchi bike, Trek, and as i mentioned earlier Cube.
