I got a little wooly panda hat, with the intention of turning it into an LCD Soundsystem style balaclava for indoor matches over the summer.

Alas, the thing arrived today, and frankly, it's far too adorable for the purpose; I just can't bring myself to cut its eyes out.

DO IT!!! Rock the full evil bear loadout from Drunk Girls at a site - it'd be completely impractical, but those bears are pure evil!

In the video all the bullets hit relatively close on full auto
those were shells.... at that size, its a shell.

Merry: Indie kids are in 'loadout' all the time, don't encourage him.

If someone turns up as a character from some indie music video, im going to go use my first hicap. and enjoy it. :P

The question is how could they with that level of barrel rise/muzzle creep/whatever it's called?? At such short range even a small change in launch angle would dramatically affect the impact point.

Oh I intend to go Panda come hell or high water. I think I'm just going to have to get another - slightly less cute - hat for the purpose.

Makes a change from 23423423 Ghosts or Army of Two characters.

When I know something, I don't need to back it up incase someone decides to scream foul play. Its not a huge deal really.

    .

Why do you not accept other peoples word for when they" know something". You argued vehemently with me some time ago over Royal Marines testing weapons and now we should just accept your word for it.!!!

That is not acceptable. If you are making a claim, be good enough to back it up with other sources. Your claim looks now as if it came from the same place that is listed as your location.

Ok then, you're right. Completely. Got me red handed Dogwatch. I will provide citation to your own high standards from now on.

My source for my statement is my father knows the guy who knows the guy who said that's true.

And incase that isnt good enough. My father was a Royal Air Force Airframe Engineer.

What can I say. Something about that song just speaks to my philosophy.

I can only dream of being able to say with conviction that I've been able to truly live up to the spirit of its teachings.

To be honest, just skirmish in the panda hat... it would rock as it is :P

They only lasted that long because they're doing about 100 fps with a .12 :P The motor and parts were essentially just cycling around without much workload :P

Id love to see him kill an actual aeg... it would happen far faster.

That's excessive dry-firing right there, ha :p These videos did bring a smile to my face, hearing a €5 LPEG going like crazy.

Are you talking about something like crazyncman did? I stumbled across this video a little while ago

Those rates of fire dont seem especially high for an 11.1volt battery.

Factor in current of the battery (higher = faster), and motor quality.

Higher C battery, and high quality motor = stupid fast = boom faster. Lpeg guns doing stupid things and surviving is not a paticularly fair test.

Plus that 'pulsar' thing is DEFFINATELY not a decent aeg :P

As for the melted casing... that, ladies, gentlemen, and support gunners, is why you want metal bushings, or bearings. The heat transference from friction is daft.

News that a chinook rotor blade snapped of when it was being started up.....Now thats what I call reliable!

How many hours were on the airframe? How many sorties has it run over and above what it should have been doing to make up for the lack of replacement aircraft?
There's a difference between not being reliable and being worked to death.

Pretty much all of ours are being worked to death... 20 years old is fairly average for our airframes. Snapping rotors on the ground is a good thing! im just glad it happend on the deck, and didnt kill another group of good people.

Claim all you like about the reliability, and the dodgyness, but those ships have kept our forces operating in the worst environments, for well beyond thier shelf life, and reasonable service.

    Brilliant machines regardless.

Oh great. Another game with approximately four hours of campaign/single-player/story mode and about two years of "OMGIHAVETHATGUNINCOD" and annoying children screeching on in prepubescent tones about prestige, "noob tubes" (whatever the screaming Jesus they are) and professing "facts" about how amazing they are in their virtual world since their sk1llz obviously translates into the real world too...

    Pass the Dramamine.

Read that post out loud in any way that won't make you sound about a million years old, I dare you.

To be honest, I completely agree with Dex.

Cod (N chips) is the worst thing to ever impact on airsoft since the invention of the stubby killer, and tan paint.

first thing when i had the F2000 and i went to an airsoft site, people were like that's that gun out of CoD isn't it. It was so annoying, bring on Battlefield 3 stopped playing COD ages ago

Until a few years ago I was a pretty avid gamer. It's just the steady decline in any kind of a single player element that grates me.

Well, that and being told by kids and adults alike that I'm wrong about what things are called.
Quote from last years salute, from an 11 year old child:
"You're full of f**king s**t. That's a SCAR. I know it is because I use it all the time. And I could kill you with it in a second, you f**king noob"
Quote from about three years ago from a man in his early 30's in the shop:
"Desert Eagle is just what it's called in computer games. It's real designation is a Night Hawk. You should probably learn this stuff if you're going to be selling it"

The kid was talking about an MP5.
The man was talking about a Mk23.

"-And another thing, why do they have to wear their jeans so low? In my day, a man wore trousers up to his chin, and anything less meant excommunication. Three hundred miles through the snow we had to walk, dragging a bag of coal for the classroom witch burning pyre. By the time we got there, the school had been closed, so we all went to see the Bay City Rollers instead. Of course, back then it only cost -"

    EDIT:

You're right about the single player stuff though, all p*ss taking aside I'm inclined to agree with you.

One of the funniest things I've heard in a long time biggrin.gif

As for the single player experience, usually if a movie/videogame has a bad story they use explosions/assassination cut scenes as filler.

I'm still going to probably buy COD when it comes out, but that's because I've got a short attention span and explosions last about as long as the average young adults attention span anyway, haha tongue.gif

A quick question for people, seeing as this is the off topic thread, what would you consider to be the best singleplayer game recently? Or your all time favourite?

I know it's not recent but I've been playing Halo one and I am really enjoying it.
