Locking up my carbon frame in ballsbridge

Hi Guys
I've a meeting in Bewleys hotel tomorrow in ballsbridge and was thinking of cycling in no my road bike. Anyone know if it's safe there to lock it up, or would I be better of getting the train? I would prefer to cycle, as its so much quicker, even for the 20km run involved..

If you have a decent pair of locks it would be fine. Of course that means lugging 5 or 6kg of ulock and chain around with you. No beater/cheap bike ?

Give them a ring, most hotels have some sort of storage room. Some (Jury's on Parnell St.) even individually tag your luggage. Of course you should lock it inside the room.

I did, but it got nicked

Bewleys have an underground car park iirc, im sure there a good place to lock it up there. Have you a good lock or two?

Get a few U-Locks and attach them like so.....

Although, after looking more closely, the locking in this picture isn't very good. The chain locks are too loose and there are u-locks in stupid places. Two of the ones on the front wheel serve no purpose.

OP, if you're going to take my advice, use about half the amount of U-Locks.

Seriously, though, indoors is probably best. If you can lack it nearby, in a place where you can take a glance at it every so often, that might suit too.

What kind of lock(s) do you have, as a matter of interest?

they do, with a bike stand, used it before myself although not with a fancy bike.

my locks are not great, easily bustable I'm sure..guess I'll have to get a room. Wonder if they do per hour rates. I'll tell em its a pro..a great ride
