Shes clearly not welcome, members of the public arent allowed within 5 miles of her.

Says it all, if she was really welcome she could at least acknowledge her unionist followers etc.

This is a proper welcome of a far more important figure. He really was welcome by everyone.

Unfortunately the knuckle-draggers who are threatening to blow her up have meant that these sorts of measures need to be in place.

The vast majority of the Irish public wish her no ill at all.

Yes they are. The majority of people are looking forward to the visit. The Royal Wedding was widely watched over here. "the normal Irish person" likes the Royals.

Woudt go that far, id say the "normal irish person" is indifferent to the royals and the visit really in general. if there wasnt so much hassle people would care even less.

Get used to it! This is the highlight of these peoples lives.

Its why they took up a fake English accent.

But thats BECAUSE of the 5000 or so nutters who would try and cause trouble. If anything goes wrong on this trip, it is not good for Ireland.

 This is being discussed on the radio.......they were to be allowed to greet her the same as in other countries, but the tiny minority of psychos made that too much of a security risk, so the whole concept of the visit was undermined.

Do you still not acknowledge there's a security threat to Dublin city CiaranC?

You tactfully neglected to answer me last time I asked you that.

Is there really that many ? I would have thought it was a much, much smaller group of thugs ?

Maybe those would have roped in the "up for a fight" brigade drunken troublemakers to make them look more substantial, but I can't really see that level of support for those who want to embarrass the country and cause and international incident.

    cant handle the truth?

Or are you one. Not that theres much wrong with it, its just not really common upon normal folk.

no, its as meaninless as 'sheeple' in terms of childish insults. makes people who us it sound completely ignorant of all but their narrow interpretation of Irish culture

You have no context of Irish history. Our historical heroes would be spinning in their grave looking at your anti Irish viewpoints.

Well probably much smaller again but i can imagine that there'd be 5000 able to talk to talk, certainly a much smaller number would actually go ahead with something, IMO

    Far less than 5,000.

What these dissident troglodytes don't realise is that even in the North their support is waning fast. Soon they'll be assigned to the history books and they'll be nothing more than thugs on the dole.
