Anybody know if the Tour Series that they had last year where they had teams from Britain and Ireland competing on a closed circuit on the streets of Belfast and Dublin last year is going to be happening this year?

It was a great event and would love to see it here this year again if it's happening. Great event because it got the crowds out. Not many events attract a crowd to cycling over here.

AFAIK the same thing's not happening this year, though they are having a criterium like last year, slightly different route, open to Irish riders only and they want to have some races other than just road bike. They're also looking at having a mountain bike race and a fixed gear race.

Do you know will have a North/South element or is this a Dublin thing. Sounds interesting. Good to see a few disciplines getting some coverage. Anything that doesn't involve big long routes where people only see the riders for a few secs as they fly past is a bonus in my book. Should be more of it.

The one I've heard about is in around July 1st, as part of Dublin bike week. I thought the Tour series last year was great to see, and to have something again more open to Irish riders would be great to see
