Having dumped my iPhone for HTC Desire HD, I was disappointed to discover that the Irish Weather iPhone app had no equivalent on Android.
So I made one, basic for now.
Go to android market and search for rainfall radar. Free.

theres an awful lot of weather apps already out there.
will take a look at this one and see what it offers, possibly hasnt been done as the iphone doesnt have widgets...

App called "Rainy Days" It on market and free.
Show radar information for Ireland and Europe - I use it all the time.
want to cut grass later today - then see if its going to rain - just look at the sight and follow bands of rain across country

That's good, but when I tried to find a rainfall radar for Ireland it didn't show up! So I built one.

Actually I've just downloaded both and I rather the OP's version for Irish mapping. Big slow or notchy but shows me what I want. Maybe I'm just used to the met.ie site ad the info it shows but I'm finding it hard to work out whats happening (as in a prediction for a 1 to a few hours away).

I still have the other app installed as it's zoom function is very useful in other instances where you a looking at "foreign" weather or want a longer term prediction or want to zoom into a location and get a short term prediction.

Well done OP. (and the guys behind Rainy Days also)

    1) Make this link a bookmark http://www.met.ie/weathermaps/Web_radar.gif

    2) set a bookmark on your homepage/whereever.

    3) ???

    4) Prophet (of the weather.)

Just launched the UK version. Not sure what they'll think in UK Met office. Met Eireann clearly allows this kind of use if it's non-commercial.

I think you might get some thanks if you post this on the weather forum

Your next App project might be a lightning detector app :)

I'm going to try your app now and see what I think.
