    Found it.

    By Car
Outside Trinity College, take Nassau Street (N11) for about 150 metres then turn right following the signposts for the R118. Follow the R118 (also known as Mount Street which becomes Merrion Road) for approximately 2km. The RDS Main Complex will be situated on the right hand side.

To go to the Simmonscourt Complex continue along the Merrion Road and turn right into Simmonscourt Road. The RDS Simmonscourt Complex is situated on the left hand side after the two office buildings.

    By Bus
The RDS is serviced by bus routes number 4, 7, 5 and 45, which stop outside the Main Hall Entrance to the RDS on the Merrion Road. These bus services can be availed of on Nassau Street outside Trinity College.

    By Local Train
Dublin DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transport) service also operates from the City Centre to Ballsbridge. Travel southbound to Lansdowne or Sandymount stations.

I walked to all of my exams out in the RDS; clears the head and its about a half hour from Landsdowne Road. (Which in turn is about 20 minutes from Trinity) You should consider it, its a very nice part of Dublin and should calm you.

Walking form trinity only takes about half an hour. It would only be about 15 minutes from Lansdowne.

Any of the buses that go to the N11/ Stillorgan Dual Carraigeway/ Donnybrook Church leave you about a 10 minute walk or less from the RDS as well...

Get off at Donnybrook church, it's a nice walk and wakes me up before the exam.

Are there any lockers or safe rooms or anything like that this year? A friend of mine had his iPhone stolen from his bag as he sat an exam in the RDS last year, and I don't really want that to happen tbh. Could do with bringing my phone out with me, though.

    No, no lockers.

Was gonna suggest taking the battery out and take it in with you but I forgot the iPhone doesn't have that feature. :pac:

The main tip is not to stand around with your phone as you place your bag. Switch it off and put it deep down somewhere as you're walking into the venue, out of sight. Then dump your bag down later. Nobody has the time to root around several bags, they'd only target ones they know expensive phones are in.

I've been switching off my HTC Desire and leaving it in a pocket of my manbag.

If someone cares enough to rummage through a hundred bags to find it, they're welcome.

If you don't want something stolen, don't bring it. Simple as.

Hate to be harsh but for someone to find his iPhone in the first place, they were either crazily lucky, or he wasn't careful about flashing it about/putting it in his bag. I'd say leave your valuables at home.
