do you watch the day9 dailies?

    day9tv.blip.tv

he has a basics video number 132 i think

he also has some mechanics videos which apply to all races, not sure what number they are but they were only a few months ago so they wouldn't be too far back in the archives

his normal videos can be good for learning too, he analyzes pro replays and explains why they do the things they do and what you can learn from them

basically in the lower leagues, the most important thing is macro
always make scvs, expand regularly and keep making units
don't queue units, one unit making in each production facility at a time.
stay on top of your upgrades

always make scvs, and don't queue units are the most important things. do that stuff so often that you just do it without thinking, and you'll improve toot sweet

    this until you face plat/diamond:

try to focus a maximum on one build per match up.
and something that everybody say all the time. Be good at macroing.
just keep your money low, build a lot of stuff then roll over him.

I'll agree that Day9 dailies are great, but they are SO long and I for one much rather just play the game.

I'm a bronze Protoss and I'll say that against Terran I find that constant drops in my base is the hardest thing to deal with against a terran. Even if you just take out a few probes and a pylon, that one pylon could be enough to supply cap the player, which gives you a chance to get ahead in supply.

Just poke at the front of his/hers base and send the drop in, then pull back your front army and do maximum damage with the drop.

Another thing I lose to is when a terran drops most of his force in my base and sieges up. There are too many building for my units to get right in there and most of the time I try to base race but one or two siege tanks in his base tends to reduce most of my army.

    Hope you find this useful.

Obviously Day9 covers so much and it's really useful if you have the time to watch it, but I find that because of the length of his casts I forget the points he was making.

Watching casts is really good, cause the casters always tend to explain what actions were good and why some decisions were bad.

One more tip. Always make sure to keep level or ahead of the other player in upgrades. Either start yours early or make sure to check what the other players units are on. Your armies might look the same but if you don't know about upgrades then you'll make bad decisions based on army size.

If you don't like Day9 have a peek at TotalBiscuit on youtube, he has a series of reviews of his games under the title "I suck at Starcraft 2"

He is english and has a sense of humour. The vids are aimed at new/low level players. Very easy to listen to, he avoids the high level stuff that Day9 includes. Each video is about 30 minutes.

The last 3-4 Day9 dailys have been terran based so I would recommend watching them at least.
    297-Terran air,
    298-How to use Ghosts,
    299-How to get a 90% winrate.

    Then there is
    261 and 257-Mechanics,
    227-Battlecruiser rushing,
    202-daily with QXC (terran pro),
201-Using drops(not pure Terran but useful)
    198-Banshee harass.

And for a bit of Terran fun look at 193-Funday Monday,no marines, marauders or tanks!

Go for the 'Mechanics' episodes first.

Sorry to hi-jack this thread for my own Terran question, but it seemed better than starting a new thread.

Something I've been coming up a lot against Zerg is Zergling/Baneling on the ground and Mutas in the air. This is a difficult combination to deal with. When I see him going Mutalisks I build marines and thors, and can easily annihilate a mass mutalisk attack.

    BUT!

With this I find it very difficult to move out when he is supporting it with zergling and banelings. When ever I move out my marines get baneling bombed and the zerglings go after the Thor.

So Zerg just takes every expansion on the map without any resistence and eventually his economy fast over takes mine.

Any advice? Do you just have to micro really well when Zerg is doing this? It seems far easier for Zerg to wipe out my entire army.

    1. 11/12 rax.
    2. If Z is not dead with pulling 2-3 SCVs or is speedling expoing, expo.
    3. Tech either medivac, siege or blueflame depending on playstyle, know turret timings for mutas, scout for mutas.
    4. Either macro up into a marine tank death ball or constantly trade marines for mutas/blings by microing hard while expanding. Both of these options require good timings.
    5. Upgrades, 3/3 marines are ridiculously cost efficient unless infestors are out.
    6. Split well and win, you can probably win with just marines up till pretty high diamond.
