I have the EVOC bag and it's fantastic - not cheap though! I've read mixed reviews on the Polaris!

thanks, the EVOC looked well designed, and they have a special road bike adapter for extra fork protection...

yeah lots of mixed reviews out there... the thickness of the Polaris seemed a bit more 'solid' though was hoping to get a look at one but finding it hard to find a stockist in Dublin (with one in stock)...

found this in case anyone was interested, comparing the EVOC, Scicon Aero Comfort Plus, Polaris (and OEM) Bike Pods and Airline Bike Box.

I have the Polaris pod and find it very good & solid and reasonably light for the price. Have used it on about 15 flights now and no issue's with bike being damaged. Has two sections 1 for wheels and the other for everything else.

I do find it annoying to carry around airports but haven't seen anyone with one yet that's any better, it has 2 wheels at the rear which help but the handle is a poor design I think, especially for smaller people (like me!) but works.

Got mine form Slane Cycles who where cheapest at the time.

After 1 of the flights the front stud came off so it couldn't balance without leaning against a wall but quick email to Polaris and they sent one free of charge to me.

Oh ya always remove your rear deraileur hanger when packing in any box/bag.
