Wire v Non Wire(Foldable Tyres)

Hey all, I'm looking on CRC and some tyres are wire and others are foldable, just wondering what's the difference and if there's a recommended one? Thanks

folding tyres are lighter and more compact when stored, so easier to carry a spare. a lighter tyre is also good for acceleration
