I've heard that the bike to work scheme doesn't do all it says it does?
Has anyone here used used it?
Did you get the amount it told you you'd get off??
    Thanks

We have an FAQ section for a reason - please read it (as well as the charter) before posting - you will see a link to the wiki. which has a specific section on the Bike to work Scheme

And in answer to your question - it entitles you to absolutely nothing off the price of the bike, but you save tax/PRSI/levy on that price, so the amount of saving depends on your effective tax/PRSI/levy rate

I spent the full €1000 and paid for it over two months wages. The savings were a little higher than advertised, probably due to the increases in the USC since January. In total, I reckon the final cost of the bike came out at around €480, for a €1000 spend. Seems like a good deal to me!
