Cycling trip to Switzerland and Itlay

Hey Folks
Looking for some words of wisdom here!
Myself and a bunch of mates are planning a road biking trip to Switzerland and Italy in June. Here's an outline of the proposed route:

We're planning on doing 100-150km a day, depending on the amount of mountains we come across. We may also stop at a mountain biking resort and do a day there. Just wondering if any of you have cycled around here before and had any tips to share. We might look at cycling around lake garda and Lake Como, depending on time, but we're interested in interesting / famous routes or god places to stay. There will be someone driving behind us in a van all the time, so we got that part sorted..

Lake Geneva is straight forward (I used to live there) at Villeneuve you can take a bicycle track until you come to the bridge over the Rhône. It's all marked with a route sign as far as Sion for sure but I don't know after that. It's route number one. See www.veloland.ch for more info.

thanks for that. Thats exactly what I'm looking for. Do you think it's ok for a peleton of road bikers travelling at 30-35km/hr to go on these routes, or is it just for leisure cyclists?

looks good, guess you need to get a ferry then for that?

yup, there is regular (you wont wait more than 30 minutes) ferries in all directions over Lake Como.
