Skynet Becomes Self-Aware

If you know anything about history, you know that today -- April 19, 2011 -- is a big, big day.

It's the day, of course, that Skynet comes online, thus dooming all of humanity to be thrown into ceaseless warfare against the relentless robot overlords. Fun!

As helpfully explained by the (exhaustingly) comprehensive Terminator wiki:

As a result of temporal interference by Sarah Connor, her son John, Miles Dyson, and the T-800 destroying Cyberdyne headquarters and all backups of the research in 1995, the date for Judgment Day is moved back to here. Skynet is destined to go online a few days earlier on April 19, 2011, at 20:11.
A few hours after going online, Skynet gains self-awareness. Realizing they have a rogue AI on their hands, its operators in the Pentagon attempt to shut it down, so Skynet flips the eff out and launches nuclear weapons and we get all the gnarly nuclear rubble we see at beginning of Terminator 2: Judgement Day*.

Terminator 3 is as much part of the terminator series as Adam West is to The Dark Knight.

Also, if in an insane twist of fate that Skynet was actually real and became self aware, I still wouldn't recognise numberr 3 as being part of the series.

Siigh.....original SKYNET date was August 29th 1997, it became self aware after being installed by the military on August 4th 1997.

The TV show the Sarah Connor Chronicles updated the implenting date to April 19th 2011, with the attack against humanity beginning 21st April 2011.

So start running. You have 12 hours remaining.

Yeah but the tv show is awful and nobody should pay any attention to it

Terminator 3 is more credible than the show :pac:

:mad: Some of the finest TV ive seen in years. I rented out the box set and watched all 9 episodes in one go and was so impressed i got the 2nd series and watched 22 episodes in 2 days. Twas a fine weekend

I'm the biggest fan of T2 and I have to say I genuinely liked T3. Hated it in the cinema, but have seen it twice since and its a decent show.
