Denise Fergus in an exclusive in the Sun newspaper has asked the authorities in Britain to: "Unmask my son’s killers" and that she has never received Justice

    TheSun

What would happen if they did reveal their identities? Do you think she has a right to ask for this??

Vigilante gangs would kill them both which is exactly what she wants.

While I don't blame her for thinking like that, I am glad that the law does not bend to the power of the mob.

This is a highly emotive issue that I don't really see getting sensible discussion in AH. If you post this in Legal Discussion you might get a few replies from people in the legal profession who will discuss this with you from a children & crime/crime & punishment/criminology point of view.

As she's a woman obviously permanently marked by what happened to her, its not suprising. What I find perturbing is the amount willing to assist her in a campaign of vengenace that will never have a positive outcome and keeps her locked in a permenent spiral of bitterness and frustration.

What has the fact that she's a woman got to do with it?

She has a right to know who the killers are. So what if they end up dead afterwards? Society should not protect murderers.

While I do have sympathy for the woman, she needs to stop this and let the law handle it. Like someone said before, if their identities were revealed they'd be strung up, and I for one am glad that the law is not submitting to her. Vigilantism doesn't work and she should stop running to tabloids and trying to evoke sympathy from everyone in an attempt to get what she wants. The law has a way of dealing with people OBJECTIVELY, that is why we don't allow victims and relatives of victims hand out punishments.

If she were a he I would have said "As he's a man....etc". Its of no significance.

Private justice would be preferable in many cases since the courts are not harsh enough.

If one had to give an example of pure evil, I think the murder of that wee lad personifies it. The fact that such barbarity was carried out by two children, makes it all the more chilling and disturbing. The premeditation involved in leading a wee toddler to isolated railway tracks and inflicting a savagely cruel torturous death on him is beyond words.

Such twisted minds are beyond help and beyond compassion. The privileges they have received disgust me because they deserve nothing. The most they should be offered is life in prison. But if karma caught up with them and they suffered a similar agonising fate as their victim did. I somehow suspect it would bring a lot of closure and satisfaction to Jamie's mother.

    Sorry Nodin, my mistake.
I misread your post as "as she's a woman, she's obviously been...."

To be honest, the fact that a lot of people use the murder of a toddler to revel in their own bloodlust disturbs me even more.
