I need a little help i downloaded this live cd to remove a virus from a windows system..i'm running it from live usb...using clamav.. the only problem i'm having is updating the virus database. i know how to initiate the update but cannot connect to the internet..is there any way of doing this from the live cd.

Try the Parted Image live cd, it has clamav on it too.
