Renting a farm

Ive been on the lookout for an extra piece of land for a while and have decided that rather than trying to buy I should rent The problem is that any farm I see advertised is only until the end of the year. What type of a system is that? How the hell can you make plans if your only going to be there for a couple of months?…

The problem is that any farm I see advertised is only until the end of the year. What type of a system is that? How the hell can you make plans if your only going to be there for a couple of months?

Is there anyone at this and if so are they able to plan ahead ?

If you look after the land, you will more than likely get it for a longterm lease we find the following year if there's potential for it with the owner. Also, go to a few agents, they'll point you in the direction of long-term leases. Granted it's tillage land but more or less the same idea imo?.
