It's a "job" as a chugger (charity mugger). I assume the rates quoted are achievable if you sign up a serous amount of people to the specific charity.

They work on behalf of charities, hence no registered charity number needed for themselves.

I applied for a job with them out of desperation last year
They earn a commission from the charities that they collect for
They do collections for different charities like Concern, Sightsavers International, Amnesty etc so they don't need a Charity Reg No. as they are collecting on behalf of the charities
They do door to door "sales" asking people to sign up for direct debit payments to the charities and the comission is based on the number of sign ups they get

My interview went fine until I asked them about their collection permits explaining that I was married to a cop and would not be willing to do the job without all the permits legal & above board and the interviewer told me that they had permits for collections

    HOWEVER
A few weeks after my interview (I didn't get the job) they had collectors at my door for Amnesty
I asked the collector for his permit he said he didn't have it on him (which is illegal) but that his supervisor had it
I requested the supervisor to call to me so I could see the permit but it never happened surprise surprise!
