    Hi,

I'm just wondering about what legal rights someone has when they win a competition. Can the people running the competition change their mind after announcing the winner?

    Thanks!

In reality you've fierce little rights there if it's a free competition. At least with a competition you pay to enter, money has changed hands and therefore you have a contract effectively. Without money changing hands, there is no contract and so no recourse. I have certainly come across competitions in the past where skullduggery occurred e.g. prizes given to people they knew, prizes not given out at all etc. Then again I have won enough prizes to know that it's certainly possible to be the winner and receive the prize!

I'm having loads of fun playing the game "Love or Lust" on www.facebook.com/rumblersramblers
Rumblers is an Irish yogurt/cereal product so it's definitely legitimate!
You have to score over 20 before next Thursday to be entered into draw, I'm just getting the hang of it!
