My T5050 showed the same message several months back. Turned out that I had put a carpet on the floor to keep it clean and this carpet was preventing the clutch from travelling the whole way to the floor (only by 1/4 of an inch) and this was sending the fault message. So its definitely the fault code for a clutch problem.

If she is stuck in a low gear and the clutch on the shuttle won't wrk then I doubt that there is an easy fix. Time to get the mechanic to have a look at it.

i checked operators manual e 46 is not listed e45 is c1 clutch solenoid open circuit
e48 clutch disconnect switch short circuit
e40 -e45 are all to do with different clutch solenoids faults

Thanks for the info. could not get in touch with my mechanic
I had to use the tractor today to agitate slurry and low and behold the e message disappears and the tractor works normally.
So have not got a clue why the problem came and then left.

same problem with a '98 M135 last summer with bord na mona. Tractor was a wreck though, had no reverse for the first 2 hours every day!

I've heard of a few ppl complaining about these, the shuttle is faulty in them, Is there a loose connection anywhere?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
