    I thought I was doing ok, until the 100s of calories I suddenly cut out of my diet made my run much harder..Note to self.. don't just cut out the crap.... replace it with good stuff :rolleyes:

    Jesus, last night was tough. I must have turned into a chocolate junkie over the year, I found it very hard to stay away from the sweets cabinet and every 5 seconds I kept thinking of chocolate.

    I really, really, really hope that's going to improve or I won't last! I'd love to shed a few pounds before the big race.

    Just 5 min ago I was in the shop getting milk and they have peanut butter on offer AND almond butter for like 2e (which is very cheap for almond butter). About to crack, i bought chocolate instead. Sigh. At least i stayed away from the nut butters :(

    I am weak :o I caved in, and had a diet coke binge over the weekend.

    I don't blame you! I am addicted to diet coke, there is noooo way I could give it up. Drink bout 3 cans a day:D You could just give it up during the week instead, and let yourself have what you want on weekends:)

    Failed on day 3! Ah well - i really didn't give a ****e and the peanut butter and mashed banana on hot crispy toasted pitta was well worth it

    I've been going to bed early most days since lent started.

    I cannot cope with being in the same room as the sweets cabinet. I'm constantly on the verge of getting up from the sofa and helping myself to all the chocolate in there. I literally have to leave the room.

    The only way I'm managing is by having no temptation in the house, chocolate and sweets are banned!! If I had a sweets cabinet, it would be game over already:D

    I tried to do exactly that by eating every bit of chocolate I could find in the week before lent! Unfortunately, someone must have been re-stocking the damn thing. :rolleyes:

    Im out:(. In my defense it was emotional eating-I met an old work colleague when I was at the post office during lunch today. She looked at me with total excitement in her eyes, looked me up and down and said "ohhh, you have news!!". :eek::eek:
    In reality I dont have 'news'. In fact I've really cleaned my diet up and lost 6lbs in the last few weeks. There I was walking around thinking I was looking skinnier!:(

    Im out:(. In my defense it was emotional eating-I met an old work colleague when I was at the post office during lunch today. She looked at me with total excitement in her eyes, looked me up and down and said "ohhh, you have news!!". :eek::eek:
    In reality I dont have 'news'. In fact I've really cleaned my diet up and lost 6lbs in the last few weeks. There I was walking around thinking I was looking skinnier!:(

    Ooohhh harsh!!!:eek: Who says that to someone unless they are sure! She must have been dying when she realised her faux pas:o Don't take it personally, I know a girl that happened too as well and she is really slim, just has a tiny bit of a belly.She was raging after though! Well done on losing the six pounds, that's really good going!

    Thanks ElectraX I dont know who was more embarrassed after she said it - awkward :D. Still it was a bit of a blow to the old self esteem so Im now eating myself out of my shock and will start back on the straight and narrow tomorrow again.

    That's me out. They had a Paddy's Day feast in the office canteen and one cake and an iced bun later I have failed.

    While I'm back on the no-sugar diet as of immediate effect and will stay there until about 2 seconds after crossing the marathon finishing line, the lent challenge is gone.

    I gave up coffee, tea & biscuits/chocolate/sweet things...

    yay me! all going well so far, for a few days i was still putting the kettle on by reflex, i've not allowed myself decaf or hot chocolate either 'cos i see it as a cheat but i am allowing myself green tea or cammomile tea.. feel good for it so far, drinking lots of water & have plenty of get up & go in the mornings :)

    fell off the wagon : was intending to stay off sweets/choc/cakes and sugary treats , probably could have stayed off them all if i really tried but just thought 'whats the point ' so the willpower went out the window with that . Will still stay away from biscuits at break and havent had any choc or sweets yet !:)

    Day 10: Ok I've gone 1 day better than last year yay :D There are 30 more days to go Boo :(

    Haven't touched a scone, a biscuit (incredibly) or chocolate. I am eating lots of cereal though and I have had some cake. The nuts and fruit to kill the 3:30-4pm cravings were just not doing it but today I rediscovered tea brack and I think this might just get me through :)

    BTW what easter egg has the thickest chocolate and the most bars with it? I'm going to get it and perch it on the fridge for the last week!
