    Hi,

I'm getting a second hand Boss Gt-6 pedal board. The manual online says it's powered by a 14v adaptor. I don't have a 14v Adaptor, i have a 9v and a 12v. I'm wondering would either of these work? Or where can i get a 14v adaptor? Cheers

Neither will work no, if memory serves me correctly you need a boss BRC-230 to power a GT-6.

They are not a very common adaptor and would need to be special ordered in most cases, the only products currently using them as far as I know are drum machines.

I studied product design and I can understand them using different power supplies, its a pain but depending on the chips and hardware they use it can be far easier to use a different power supply rather than a universal one. It is a pain in the ass though I agree.
