The two pictures show something completely different. One, a very wide and long wound, one a short wound.

It's not acting the hard man to say that you wouldn't have rolled around and had a big theatrical fall the ground, nor that you wouldn't have balled your head off crying like a baby. Seriously, I don't care how bad the injury turns out to be, he is a total wimp and this is just more evidence.
    Fair comment IMO.
He did himself no favours and i'd be furious if a Liverpool player behaved like he does at times

I wasn't referring to that in any way shape or form.

Pretty shameful for you to even go there to score points as well btw.
I don't try and score points with anyone.
I said it before and i'll say it again that i don't give a sh1t what people think of me.
Shame on you for trying to turn it round on me

I tried to make the leg sizes match up roughly in both photos and failed. They are just too different. The mark in the 'bad' injury photo is a long way from where it appears to be in the 'ok' injury photo, ie half way further up the leg toward the knee. Appears the bad one might be a fake, has there been any source identified?

I think the "bad" picture is blood running around his leg

Is that what Utd fans really want, to become a Citeh Mk 2?

Obviously as a Liverpool fan, I dont like Utd, however Iv always respected them on the basis that while they have spent big, it was money spent as a result of commercial success, which was built initially by success on the pitch and maintained by continued success, as opposed to the Chelse/Citeh fantasy football model

I would have though what Utd fans would want is owners who wont lumber the club with debt, nor see the club as a rich man's toy

But another United fan said they would rather bring through youth instead of spending 30m on one player. You are a hard bunch to follow

There was some proper damage done.

I was cursing him when it happened, but as somebody said already, the boy who cried wolf.

Sadly he could be out for a number weeks judging by the pictures of the laceration.

Can I have what your smoking please? :P

The Financial Fair Play rules alone will prevent this from happening.

It appeared on redcafe first of all.

No tv camera went in that close and press photographers at pitch side would be unbale to get the angle.

Only ones who could get that angle would have been people on the pitch

I can guarantee he will be playing in Uniteds next game, he got a small cut on his shin

Seemed a soft freekick for the third goal. Van Der Sar was poor though.

You shouldn't look for a problem when its not there tbh. Pointless paranoia.

Also for a chap who doesn't care what anyone thinks about you you talk about what people will think of you an awful lot!

While I don't think it's as bad as the original picture made out I'd be surprised if he isn't out for at least 2/3 weeks.

It's going to bruise like nobody's business and between that and the healing itself of the gash he probably won't train for the guts of a week at least.

A bruise? If a bruise keeps Nani out of training or a match he is an even bigger pussy than i thought.

I wish Nani a speedy recovery.

The only good news for United today is that Valencia looks set to be coming back soon after his leg break.
