Hugely dissappointed by the Utd effort today. Well done Liverpool, filly deserved win.

    +1

    United were terrible.
3-1 is a very fair result.
Carragher should have been sent off, maybe Maxi and Rafael also
Gerrard was great for a guy carrying a knock

    Well done Liverpool.

Bring on Arsenal in the cup!

Every United fan here agree's Liverpool were the better team.

The only contentious decision from a United perspective was Carraghers tackle but even if he had have got the line,I really dont think it would have made any difference.

    We were rubbish,pure and simple.

    Play another record ffs.
    Well said

Liverpool were excellent in the first half and United just couldn't live with them... Suarez > every player on the pitch today, He was awesome.Another awful United performance away from home, any chance we can bribe the FA to play all our remaining games at home. :(

Excellent result & good display from LFC.
Suarez is looking a real gem of a player.
Congrats to Kuyt on his first hat-trick for LFC!

Utd aren't a very impressive team these days are they?
I'm sure we'll hear lots of moaning about the tackles from Fergie after the game but his team didn't do anything today to justify any kind of reward from the game!

Is this the best EPL season ever?

Chelsea starting off like a train and then imploding.
Wolves beating Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City
Blackpool and rent a quote Ian Holloway
Mad, mad spending last day of the Jan transfer window

and more besides and more to come!

Compare the workrate, effort and desire of Suarez and Torres.

£50million? We ****ing robbed them :)

Torres gave us everything for the first few years.

Far more than we will ever know was going on at that club for the final few years. It saw Alonso, Masch and finally Torres leave. It is probably the underlying reason for Reina being on the verge of leaving.

Fair enough, you are disappointed that Torres left the way he did. We all are. But how about we don't do the average fan nonsense and sully the memories of his time at the club and what he gave us.

I, and I am sure you would too, would do anything to have a happy Torres that didn't feel let down by the club and Suarez at the club right now.

I think United will still win the league, but it's not for United being the supremely dominant team, I think the big 3 have been found out this year.

United are faltering against the teams they need to beat and I think the unbeaten for so long record was hugely flattering and hid the fact that we were drawing the games we should be winning.

Chelsea seem to have come off the rails.

    Arsenal are bafflingly inconsistent.

On a side-note, what on earth has happened to Wayne Rooney? He was anonymous again today and a shadow of the player he was two years ago.

It's starting to become too long to be a blip.

Fair play Liverpool, complete outplayed United and showed they wanted it more.

No refereeing decision won this for them, just sheer quality.

Enjoy the day that's in it.

    Fúckers :P

    Genuine question.

Good performance from Liverpool and a result that keeps the title race wide open.

I thought Fergie got his selection badly wrong. JOS and Fletcher should have started instead of Berbatov and Rafael. Having said that the players who went out there just didn't perform, and it's laughable that United fans are singling out Carrick - Scholes and Rooney were non-existent too. The last 135 minutes of football have shown that United are no great shakes when you put them under pressure.

Liverpool played well and thoroughly deserved the win. Suarez was outstanding and gives them a real threat up front. Kuyt's third goal typified his work-rate, he was the only player within 5 yards of that rebound. The future looks decent for Liverpool, although they are still lacking depth and quality in a few positions.

It's a good question. He's a stark contrast to the Wayne Rooney of previous seasons. He's been given easy games to bring up his form (one in the FA Cup against a lower team) and he's still been muck.

There's no need to overreact with the "Sell him now" but serious questions need to be asked about him. I don't think Fergie should be starting him every game, he needs to know his place isn't assured.

Fergusons shítty transfer policy shows up again, the 'best' attacking option we have on the bench after Chicharito comes on is bloody Obertan.
    .

I love nothing more than pointing our Fergie's flaws. It fills me with joy that he paid nearly 80m for Nani, Anderson, Carrick and Hargreaves for example.

United's problems are not down to Ferguson's transfer dealings though. It is down to overly leveraged owners who have deprieved the club of on the field investment.

What is happening, or has the potential of happening anyway, is exactly what happened at Liverpool in the past 3 years. United's fall from grace will be a slower occurance though due to them having significantly further to fall than Liverpool had. They also have a top class manager, who has the complete support of the squad and owners and also has the support of the press.

TBH it looks like no one wants to win the league this year! Well done to Liverpool, an excellent result for Arsenal fans like me. Makes next weekend a massive match for Arsenal. I agree with you United are still in the driving seat at the moment.

I better buy some Man Pampers, first Barcelona and then United it's going to be interesting week !!!!

As a United fan, i think the last two games have proved how bad our midfield is. Played well against Chelsea in the first half, but then they came out and controlled the second. Our midfield is the weakest i can ever remember it being, (Pretty much 20years). Today, Lucas and Gerrard sat in front of the back four, and we couldnt break them down at all. The most worrying thing for me though is how its been obvious the midfield is weaker (then a top European teams should be) for the last few years and despite constant links, nothing has changed.
