Utd will have lost 3 of their last 5 league games after this match. Yet stay 3 points clear at the top. A more competitive league or inconsistency for the top teams?

Well, fair play to Liverpool. United were there for the taking and they took 'em.

Pity the game was marred by some bad tackling (and the thread was marred by some idiotic posts), but it happens from time to time.

I hope Nani's not too badly injured. Admittedly, the guy is a dope, but he's a tremendously skilled player & it'd be a shame to see him out of the game for any length of time.

Bad day for United fans. Time to regroup & refocus now... two big cup games coming up with Arsenal & Marseille. Looks like Fergie's got his work cut out from him to lift the team up after two really bad defeats.

Ah well, such is life. We live to fight another day.

    ?
£35m is shambolic. You just made no point. lol.

No point in having money there if it cant be spent. With the new financial fair play regulations comming, thats essentially what the Torres money would have been had it not been spent last January

Yea Liverpool overpaid, because it was last minute and Newcastle had us over a barrell, however very early to be writing the signing off as shambolic

A bitter mackem is on the wrong thread.

No, I'm not. I'm watching the Liverpool V Manchester United game and commenting on said match thread. I'm also commenting on a player who's playing in said game.

Just because you spend every minute of your life on here doesn't mean you can tell people what they can and can't do on here.

Does the 65 stand for the amount of clubs you support?

Fergusons shítty transfer policy shows up again, the 'best' attacking option we have on the bench after Chicharito comes on is bloody Obertan.

Fletcher should have started, Carrick has been absolutely disgraceful yet again, loose passes, half ass tackles, losing the ball, shying away from shooting every time, how he was given a new contract is absolutely beyond me.

The only surprise for me was that Rafael wasn't sent off before he was subbed, he has liability written all over him.

United have been absolutely brutal from front to back. Giggs and Scholes have done very little, Rafael barely attacked, Berbatov was probably our best player on the pitch which isn't saying much. And Carrick was brutal.

Fair play to Liverpool, they've played well and deserve the win, and fair play to Kuyt to being in the right place at the right time, don't think its a lucky hat-trick by any stretch.

His Newcastle games. Definitely nothing special. I don't see any touch with the ball at his feet

Scholes, Giggs, Rooney, Berbatov, Brown, Evra and Carrick all should be ashamed of their performances

Will Carroll score 7 times as many goals to justify his price?

Also, chico has scored 9 goals out of total of 14 shots in epl.

Make it 10 in 15 now :) 2 late though.

He's a cracking player IMO. He's unplayable in the air, has a cracking shot on him and is full of pace and power. He's better with the ball at his feet than people give him credit for too.

sharpest i have seen liverpool play in a few years , that killer edge was really there for all to see, they were dangerous anytime they were in front of the box.

    Savaged. Afternoon of high justice.

Utd fans can complain about refs all they like, but the reality is that they've been thoroughly rumbled the last three halfs they've played.

I hope everyone else in the league takes note.
