Er didn't Rooney and Berbatov cost 60m?

Edit just saw the last bit :p
was a joke, thus me putting 'bait' in white below the post, that's what Liverpool fans have been going on about when United beat them for years now.

damn wasn't paying attention to your last bit either :D

Shocking performance from united again. I can take losing any game once the united players give it their all. This is just pathetic.
No doubt fergie will correctly bemoan another awful ref decision that went against us but it doesn't take away from the heartless performance of the team.

Just seen the Nani foul again. If it hadn't have been Nani, it might have been red but he has such a history of play acting, faking injuries and trying to get players sent-off that he almost convinces the referee to give a yellow.

The fact that he runs over to the referee, screams at him, and throws himself to the ground, probably saves Carragher. Having said that, Rafael should have gone too so it balalances out.

Who it is, whether they are play acting or not has no bearing on the perceived severity of the challenge.

You are wrong. They were more than that (PS: I care not for sneaky small white text!) :P

The post match interview from Fergie will either be a master class in diplomacy, a swallowed a bee special or he might just smile ruefully and shrug his shoulders. He knows his team is not a world beating side and that Liverpool football club are giving a glimpse for the next few seasons.

So you know him personally do you or just going by what you read in the papers?

    I suspect the latter!

No, I don't know him personally. However, having such close ties to the North-East I know exactly what he's like.

Come on mate, before he signed for Liverpool even some of the Liverpool fans on here were saying how bad he was. There's more than enough evidence:
Carroll has been involved in many off-the-pitch incidents in his career.

On 14 September 2008, he was arrested by police in Newcastle, and later accepted a police caution.[44] On 7 December 2009, he was arrested in the aftermath of a nightclub fight, again in Newcastle, accused of smashing glass in a man's face.[45] He was charged with assault and in October 2010 he pleaded guilty to common assault and was fined £1,000. He was also ordered to pay £2,500 compensation.[46]

He was also involved in an incident on the training ground which allegedly left teammate Steven Taylor with a broken jaw though no charges were filed according to police.[47] Carroll reportedly suffered a broken hand in the incident, and he was shortly photographed in a pop concert with bandages to both hands.[48] Newcastle manager Chris Hughton and club representatives declined to comment any further on the incident.[49]

On 18 October 2010, Carroll was charged with in an incident with a former girlfriend. Claiming self-defence, and having given a local hotel as his address, Carroll was granted bail on the condition that he resides with Newcastle captain Kevin Nolan until the case resumes in January. The charges were later dropped due to lack of evidence.[50] Two days following his bail, Carroll's car was set on fire whilst parked on Nolan's driveway, with the club captain's garage door also being daubed with obscenities.[51]

Whilst on international duty, Carroll, Scott Sinclair and Ryan Bertrand were sent home from the England U-19s squad after breaking a curfew on 14 October 2007 during preparation for a match against Romania U-19s.[52]

Like I said, he's a cracking player and I'd never deny that, but his behaviour and actions during his life so far have been absolutely disgusting.

Perhaps the move to Liverpool will change his ways, but he needed to get out of Newcastle after someone with close ties to the woman he assaulted burnt out his new car and threatened to do even more.

    We'll wait and see.

I'm delighted Rooney didn't get sent off last week when he elbowed Mccarthy in the head. Otherwise, he wouldn't have played today!!

What a disgusting man Andy Carroll is. Cracking player, but a disgusting individual.
£35m is just embarrassing. I haven't seen much potential in him; he's effectively a faster Heskey

Will Carroll score 7 times as many goals to justify his price?

Also, chico has scored 9 goals out of total of 14 shots in epl.

The supporters better start saving up for the dvd. Out tomorrow. ;)

It'll be on the season review DVD. I'll watch it then. MOTD2 will suffice for now!
